I partner with leadership, founders, and individuals in the nonprofit and creative space through periods of transition and growth.
I love mission-based organizations — their designs, challenges, people, and cultures. My consulting practice is built on 25+ years in the private and nonprofit sectors creating visibility and transforming mission-based businesses, be they startup or established.
Strategic planning to engage board, leadership, staff around mission and operating strategy / Brand language to articulate mission, values, narrative and pillars / Communications planning to build brand identity and reach
I serve as advisor to both the Founder and the Executive Director of ISLAA as they transition to a public-facing NYC institution dedicated to the study and visibility of Latin American art. In their first year I consulted on institutional narrative and language, organizational structure, hiring and public image in order to reach and engage new audiences.
“Marcia is a rare strategist with deep leadership expertise. She understands that public-facing communications are interdependent with every aspect of an organizational infrastructure, giving her a uniquely comprehensive perspective. She provided ISLAA with the advice we needed, exactly when we needed it, during a period of dynamic growth.
